Equipping our spirit, soul, & body

Leaders and Learners
Discipleship Training
Who wants to be a Leader? Who wants to be a Learner?
Leaders should always continue to be learners.
Learners, should never assume they have nothing to offer to the leaders or to others.
What I am teaching is from personal experience, and my journey with the Lord. Yours might very well look different & that’s quite ok, we want HS to lead us in His unique plan for un individually.
My goal is to equip others to be all God created them to be, through my own personal journey, and teachings from Holy Spirit.
I want to equip you in your relationship with God, not equip you to build a bigger ministry. That may very well happen, but it can’t be your priority. It’s not about you, it’s all about Jesus.,
LEADERS: Goal is to equip others to be all God created them to be, and then let them be
You reap what you sow
Lead by example – God, Spouse, Children, Family, Work, Ministry – many marriages fail because ministry takes priority.
Encourages, doesn’t belittle, put down, shame, guilt
Leaves the results to holy Spirit
Loves

A LEADER DOES NOT:
Blame others
Judge others for not being where they are spiritually, or not wanting to be.
Make excuses, or take offense
Become jealous when others experience more revelation than you have
Put pressure on others, and doesn’t let others pressure on them
Worry , Don’t stress, don’t fret
LET GOD BE GOD. Let Holy Spirit teach you, discipline & correct you. Let Him guide you, love on you, and build you up to be mighty men and woman of God. Let Him equip you to be all He created you to be.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. 1 John 2:27 (NLT)
Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day. Ps 25:4-5
We are students of the Holy Spirit’s school for leaders.
Set aside time to be taught
Just like in school, take notes, write things down. AND there will be tests. The purpose of tests and trials is to build character and eventually bring us into a place of “Bold Humility and Humble Boldness” as we demonstrate His power and glory. Georgia Hawkins
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.James 1:3 Testing occurs every day of our lives
If you want more of Him, you have to give Him more of you
15 minutes a day may not be enough time for Him to equip you to be all He created
you to be.
Only God can write the textbooks and give the test for the plans that he has for your life it can’t be learned through any other book or any other teachings
We all know that we learn in different ways we receive information in different ways, and God knows how to speak to us so we will hear and learn
Are you letting God be God in your: life, fear, frustration, pain, parenting, etc.
Who does God want to be for you?
A-Z Who does God want to be for me? Advocate, breakthrough, confidant, deliverer, eternity, first love, glory, holiness, increase, justice, kindness, light, mercy, nourishment, optimism, power, qualification, rest, shelter, truth, unction, vision, wisdom, eXtreme, zeal.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17
ENTER INTO HIS PRESENCE. Enjoy just being with Him. It’s in His presence that all of this takes place, it’s where His power and anointing flows from His heart to ours. It’s as simple as saying, “Holy Spirit Come”, then waiting.
You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. Ps 16:11
‘You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’ Acts 2:25
Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. James 4:10
This has to be a priority. You might have to inform others in your family about this.
In His presence: love, joy, peace, gladness, secret place, shelter, light, judgement, sin exposed, angelic activity, mountains quake, hills dissolve, trembling, safety, shaking, refreshing,
ASK THE LORD daily what He wants to say to you, learn to distinguish His voice from yours and from the enemies. Don’t do all the talking, He already knows what you want.
Lord? Write down His words to you.
Hear, see, feel, know, pictures? What language does He speak? King James, slang, lover, scripture?
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope Jer 29:11
So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. John 7:16
** When fighting against the enemy ask the Lord how to do it, maybe it’s a simple as singing and praising Him, instead of yelling, begging or lamenting.
** When he (Jehoshaphat) had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went outbefore the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” 22 When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were struck down. 2 Chron 20:21-22
Remember Jericho in Joshua 6
Asking HS what he wants you to preach on, how He wants you to pray for someone
A sermon might have been anointed in the past when He gave it to you, but is it anointed for this time you want to preach t.
Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few. Ecc 5:2
‘Hear, now, and I will speak; I will ask You, and You instruct me.’ 5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You; 6 Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:4-6
DISCOVER WHO GOD REALLY IS. Get to know Him personally and not just about Him. Talk to Him like a friend, discuss things in life, and in His Word.
Knowing about God and personally experiencing Him are very different.
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Pet 3:18
AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' Mark 12:30 – How can you love someone that way, unless you know them?
Be still and know that I am God. Ps 46:10 You don’t know God by being busy, doing. You get to know God by being still with Him.
God has a sense of humor, He’s funny. He’s to be revered as Father God for sure, but He’s also Papa God.

We all know people who do all the talking – not much fun to be around.
1 Kings 13-20: About a young prophet sent on an assignment by God to prophecy to an altar. After finishing the assignment, he was supposed to return home. Don’t go to anyone’s home or eat with anyone. He obeyed after the king wanted him to visit his home. Then an older prophet told him that God has spoken to him (the older prophet) and that He told him that he was to go to his home and eat with him.
He trusted the older prophets word from God more than his own. Now the older prophet lied, but was the lie part of God’s testing?
ENJOY THE JOURNEY of seeking God and spending time with Him the way He wants you to. This is a journey that will last the rest of your life, so enjoy the process.
You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jer 29:13.
I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me. Prov 8:17
We seek God with our spirit, not our mind.
“I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 5:30
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. John 7:18
If you want more of Him, you have to give Him more of you.
15 minutes a day may not be enough time for Him to equip you to be all He created you to be, it that involves leadership
And when you step out in the flash, it’s all about you, and therefore it’s not all about Jesus
God can’t teach you everything you need to know, to be who He created you to be, in a few months, or even years. It takes time, therefore enjoy the process.
Children always want to hurry and grow up. They can’t wait to be just a little older, to graduate to the next grade, to be able to do what they want, to move out of their parents’ house and be independent. I can remember being in my early 20’s and wishing I could be about 15, back at home, with few responsibilities. Just like children should enjoy the journey of growing into adulthood, so should we enjoy the journey of growing with God.
Jesus was about 30 when He started His ministry, He didn’t step out until His Father said to.
If you’re afraid of looking like a fool, or failing, making mistakes, get over it, surrender that to Jesus.
REPENT when necessary, and obey quickly. Give God permission to search and purify your heart and motives often, and to hold you accountable. Surrender your agenda for His.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
Purity of heart and motives is imperative. You may fool everyone around you, but you can’t fool God.
Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; Matthew 3:8
Wrong Motives in everything:
Recognition
Money
Fame
Numbers – In 2 Sam. 24:15 70,000 lost their lives because King David had to number how many solders he still had, which was pride or fear
Attention
To feel good about yourself
To be noticed, thanked
To bring attention to yourself
To judge others
It’s all about you
Right Motives:
To know God intimately
To know and walk in His plans for your life
To give God glory
***** Many people in the Bible, and many people who have lived, have had amazing ministries. They did mighty things for God, walked in miracles signs and wonders. AND as they grew older they stopped being humble, stopped asking God to search their hearts. Pride creeped in and they failed to walk in holiness. Solomon was one of them.
1 Kings 14:6
6 When Ahijah heard the sound of her feet coming in the doorway, he said, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam, why do you pretend to be another woman? For I am sent to you with a harsh message. 7 Go, say to Jeroboam, ‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel, “Because I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over My people Israel, 8 and tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you—yet you have not been like My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in My sight;
Even though he was an adulterer, murder, and he caused the death of 70,000 men when he just had to count how many soldiers he had. 2 Sam 24.
My example of Pride: C-9 In charge of the overhead projector & allowing to look bad as the worship leader allowed HS to have His way
SPEAK IN TONGUES, and sing in tongues often. If you don’t speak in tongues yet, ask God to baptize you in Holy Spirit, with the manifestation of speaking in tongues.
The one who speaks in a tongue EDIFIES himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. 1 Cor 14:4
EDIFIES: Enlighten, inform, educate, instruct, improves, teaches
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 1 Cor 14:18
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20
I encourage you to make speaking or singing in tongues a priority in your life. Ask God how long and how often your need to speak in tongues to edify yourself to become all He created you to be.
You reap what you sow
For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God. 2 Cor 2:17
