The Joy of the Lord is my Strength

Nehemiah 8:10

But, how can I receive this joy?



Trusting God


The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:7



Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you. Psalm 86:4



May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 15:13



Worship

Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. Luke 24:52



Being in His presence
 

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11



Surely You have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of Your presence. Psalm 21:6



You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence. Acts 2:28  



Obedience

If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. John 15:10-12



Reading and understanding the Word of God

Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them. Nehemiah 8:12



Asking for it


Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:24
