Declarations from Colossians
Chapter 1: I declare that the Holy Spirit has given me a love for others. I have complete knowledge of God’s will for me. I have spiritual wisdom and understanding. I live in a way that honors and pleases the Lord, and I produce every kind of good fruit. I grow and learn to know God better and better.
I declare that I am strengthened with all God’s glorious power so that I will have all the endurance and patience I need. I am filled with joy, always thanking my Heavenly Father. I share in the inheritance that belongs to His people who live in the light. I live in the light. I walk in freedom and forgiveness because of Jesus.
I declare that God has reconciled me to Himself through the death of Jesus. He has brought me into His presence, and I am holy and blameless as I stand before Him without a single fault. I continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it.
I declare that God’s riches and glory are for me. Because Christ lives in me, I share His glory. God gives me wisdom and power to tell others about Jesus Christ.
Chapter 2: I declare that I understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself. In Jesus lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I declare that I follow Jesus. My roots grow down into Him; and my life is built on Him. My faith grows strong in truth and I overflow with thankfulness.
I declare that my sinful nature has been cut away by Jesus Christ. I was buried with Christ when I was baptized. I was raised to a new life because I trust the mighty power of God, who raised Jesus from the dead. All charges against me have been nailed to the cross. Jesus has set me free from the spiritual powers of this world.
Chapter 3: I declare that I set my sight on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits. I think more about the things of heaven, than the things of earth. My real life is hidden with Christ in God. I put to death my sinful nature and all behavior that is ungodly. I put on my new nature; I am learning about God and becoming like Him.
I declare that Christ is all that maters, and He lives in me. God chose me to be holy. I clothe myself with love, which binds me together with other believers in perfect harmony. The peace that comes from Christ rules my heart.
I declare that I teach and counsel others with all the wisdom that Jesus gives me. I sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with a thankful heart. I represent Jesus in all I say and do. I submit to and respect my husband. I work willingly at whatever I do, as though I am working for the Lord.
Chapter 4: I declare that I devote myself to prayer. I live wisely among unbelievers, and I make the most of every opportunity. When I talk to others I am gracious and kind, having the right response for everyone.
